411: We're pretty sure you know her, but if you didn't you should! Harriet Tubman was an American abolitionist and political activist. She was born into slavery, escaped and made 13 missions to rescue around 70 other people that were also enslaved. She's most known for her creation and utilization of other antislavery activists and safe houses, also known as the Underground Railroad.
